In a horrifying incident which reflects disgrace to humanity, a 56-year-old man who allegedly owes allegiance to the Chotta Rajan gang was arrested by the central crime unit (CCU) attached to the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police for sexually exploiting his two daughters aged- 22 and 21 years at their residence in Nallasopara.

Mira-Bhayandar: In a horrifying incident which reflects disgrace to humanity, a 56-year-old man who allegedly owes allegiance to the Chotta Rajan gang was arrested by the central crime unit (CCU) attached to the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police for sexually exploiting his two daughters aged- 22 and 21 years at their residence in Nallasopara.

Less than 24 hours after an offence was registered against him the accused (name withheld to protect the identity of the survivors) was arrested by a team led by police inspector- Aviraj Kurhade from a village in Sindhudurg on Wednesday (26, February).

The accused not only threatened, assaulted and raped his daughters on multiple occasions from 2018 to 2025 but also impregnated one of them and forced her to undergo abortions five times.

According to the police he also molested his two other minor daughters by forcing them to see porn videos. He would mount brutal assaults on his wife when she tried to intervene and stop him from sexually exploiting the girls. Such was his terror, that the elder daughter and her mother who were fed up of the ordeal had attempted suicide.

The accused who is believed to be an active member of the Chotta Rajan gang has several serious offences including- illegal possession of arms, assault and attempt-to-murder registered against him in Nallasopara, Manipur, Sion, Kankavli and Karjat.

An offence under the relevant sections of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against the accused who has been remanded to police custody. Senior officials from the Nallasopara police are conducting further investigations.
