Western Railways won’t have any mega block today
Mumbai : Commuters will have a hard time traveling this Sunday as Central Railway is operating mega block on its suburban sections including the Harbour line for carrying out maintenance work. However, there’s good news for those living in the western suburbs as the Western Railways won’t have any mega block today.
All Up slow line services leaving Thane from 10.41 am to 3.12 pm will be diverted on Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations halting at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion stations. Further, they will be re-diverted to Up slow line at Matunga station. Up slow line services will not be available at Nahur, Kanjurmarg and Vidyavihar. Following which, passengers of these stations are permitted to travel via Bhandup, Vikhroli and Kurla stations.
Down fast line services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus from 10.08 am to 2.42 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule. All Down and Up slow line services leaving/arriving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus between 11 am and 5 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.
On harbour line a block will be taken on GTB Nagar – Mankhurd station on Up as well as Down tracks from 11 am to 3 pm. Harbour line services on CST-Panvel route, both in Up and Down direction, will remain suspended from 10.08pm to 3.40pm. However special local trains will run on Mankhurd – Panvel – Mankhurd section during the block period.
