Palghar: The Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police have deported 12 Bangladeshi nationals found to be living illegally in the commissionerate’s jurisdiction.

The operation, which began on August 1, 2025, involved coordinated raids across multiple police station areas to trace undocumented Bangladeshi residents. During the drives, six men, four women, and two children were detained from the Kashimira, Tulinj, and Nalasopara police station limits.

Police said the individuals were unable to produce any valid documents permitting them to reside in India. Investigations revealed that they had crossed into India illegally from Bangladesh and had also obtained Indian identification documents using forged papers.

On August 7, 2025, all 12 were deported via Bagdogra in West Bengal, from where they were sent back across the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The action was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Niket Kaushik and Additional Commissioner Dattatray Shinde, as part of MBVV Police’s ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration.
