Mumbai: A truck carrying LPG cylinders caught fire near Nature Park in Dharavi on Monday night, sparking widespread panic among residents. Eyewitnesses reported over 10 cylinder explosions, with loud blasts amplifying fears in the densely populated area. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) is actively working to control the blaze, and no injuries have been reported so far.

The fire broke out at 9:50 PM near PNGP Colony, Sion-Dharavi Link Road, after a gas leak ignited the cylinders. The truck was parked in a residential zone, causing immediate alarm. Explosions were heard from a distance, startling locals who were unprepared for the emergency.

By 10:07 PM, the fire was declared a Level 2 (Major Fire). Six fire engines, seven jumbo tankers, an ambulance, and teams from the fire department, local police, and G North ward rushed to the scene. Authorities cordoned off the area as a precaution, while firefighters battled the flames. A few nearby vehicles also caught fire, but the situation is now under control, confirmed officials.
According to reports, the fire has now being extinguished.
