Massive Fire Breaks Out In New Industrial Estate, Andheri East; No Casualties Reported

A massive fire broke out on level three of the new industrial estate in Andheri East. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Mumbai: A massive fire breaks out in the Andheri east area on Thursday around 1:56 PM. The incident was reported at 3:10 PM by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's, Mumbai Fire Brigade Control. A fire was erupted on the third level of the gala at the New Industrial Estate, Shanti Nagar, Mahakali Caves Road, near Giriraj Industrial, Andheri East.

The fire is confined to areas of the gala, covering approximately 500x1000 square feet of a structure with a ground floor and two upper floors. The agencies mobilised on the spot included the BMC, MFB police, the 108 ambulance service, and the BMC ward staff.

There were 10 fire engines at the scene, along with 2 mobile water tankers and 8 jetting tankers, working to control the fire. The response also included 2 water tankers, auto water tankers, a command post, a breathing apparatus vehicle, and the Emergency Ambulance Service (108). On-site the officials included the Deputy Fire Officer, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer, Senior Station Officers, and Station Officers, who coordinated efforts to manage the crisis.

More details are awaited; no casualties have been reported so far.
