Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Anil Parab on Tuesday met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and submitted what he claims is concrete evidence against Minister of State for Home Yogesh Kadam. Parab has demanded Kadam’s immediate resignation, citing his alleged involvement in operating an illegal dance bar and unlawful sand mining in the Jagbudi river area in Ratnagiri.
Parab, who had earlier raised these allegations during the recently concluded monsoon session of the state legislature, said the dance bar in question is registered under the name of Kadam’s mother. He alleged that this has severely tarnished the government's image. Speaking to the media after meeting the Chief Minister, Parab stated, “I raised the issue of a dance bar operating under the name of the MoS’s mother. This bar has been raided multiple times — on August 10 and May 28 in 2023, and again on May 31 this year. During these raids, 22 bar girls, 22 customers, and cash were seized. These are repeat offenders, and under the law, the original owner is held accountable for any wrongdoing.”
Video Proof Submitted of Sand Mining at Dental College Premises
In addition to the dance bar issue, Parab submitted video footage and documents allegedly proving Kadam’s involvement in illegal sand mining. According to him, the extracted sand has been stockpiled at Yogita Dental College in Khed, with a man named Akit Mukadam allegedly involved in the operation.
Transport Department Official Also Under Scanner
Parab further claimed that a transport department official was seen using an e-challan machine for illegal collections. Video proof of this was also handed over to the Chief Minister. “The Bombay High Court has already directed the government to issue a show-cause notice regarding the illegal sand mining case. I’ve also submitted a copy of the High Court's directive as part of my evidence,” he said.
Parab Warns of Pressure Campaign if No Action Taken
Parab warned that he would continue to pressure the government if no action is taken. “I will send a reminder letter to the Chief Minister every 15 days regarding the action taken on the evidence submitted. If no action is taken, it will raise questions about whether CM Fadnavis is shielding the minister,” he said.
Parab was also part of a Shiv Sena (UBT) delegation that met Governor Ramesh Bais earlier this week to press for the resignation of certain Mahayuti ministers.

Yogesh Kadam Responds: “I Will Focus on My Work”
Responding to the developments, Minister of State Yogesh Kadam dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated. “I do not pay attention to such false allegations. Anil Parab has not even followed proper legislative procedures before making these claims. I have already submitted a detailed explanation in response,” Kadam said.
He added, “If Parab wants to meet the Governor or even the President, he is free to do so. I will focus on my responsibilities as MoS for Home and will not get distracted by such politically driven accusations.”
Kadam also confirmed that he would be submitting his official clarification to the Chief Minister shortly.
