The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has undertaken significant organizational changes by appointing new district presidents across Maharashtra, ahead of the upcoming local body elections. Several fresh faces have been given opportunities, with key changes made to strengthen the party’s position in the forthcoming electoral battles.

As part of these changes, notable shifts include the appointment of Atul Bhosale as the new district president of Satara, replacing incumbent minister Jaykumar Gore. In Pune, Dhiraj Ghate has retained his position, while in Maval, Pradim Kand has been entrusted with a key leadership role.

In total, new district presidents have been appointed in 58 districts across the four major regions of the state Konkan, Western Maharashtra, North Maharashtra, and Marathwada. The move is seen as an effort to bolster the BJP’s grassroots network and energize party activities at the local level in preparation for both local body and Assembly elections.

Commenting on the appointments, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “BJP Maharashtra President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Working President Ravindra Chavan have announced the appointment of 58 organizational district presidents in the state. I am fully confident that this team will work with full strength in the upcoming local body elections. Heartfelt congratulations to all the newly appointed office-bearers.”
