Maharashtra News: Tragedy Strikes Palghar As 2 Men Die By Suicide In Separate Incidents

In the first incident, Jitendra Srikrishna Kubal (34) was found dead by suicide at his residence in Virar East. He was discovered hanging inside his apartment by a local resident, Dr. Sachin Tukaram Wandre (40), who promptly reported the matter to the Virar Police.

Palghar, Maharashtra: Two unrelated but tragic suicide cases were reported from Palghar district on Wednesday, June 25, involving men from Virar and Vasai. Police have registered accidental death reports in both incidents and have ruled out foul play.

34-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Virar

In the first incident, Jitendra Srikrishna Kubal (34) was found dead by suicide at his residence in Virar East. He was discovered hanging inside his apartment by a local resident, Dr. Sachin Tukaram Wandre (40), who promptly reported the matter to the Virar Police.

Kubal was immediately rushed to the Rural Hospital in Virar West, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. An accidental death report has been registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. According to police, no signs of foul play were found.

Vasai Man Dies by Suicide After Argument with Mother

In a separate case in Naigaon (West), Vasai, Raju Anok Barla (35) died by suicide on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after an argument with his mother over a phone call.

According to the complaint filed by his wife, Sushila Raju Barla (34), a homemaker, the incident occurred around 3:20 pm when she overheard Raju speaking loudly with his mother, Leela. After some time, when he failed to respond or open the bedroom door, she sought help from neighbors. They eventually broke down the door and found Raju hanging from a ceiling fan using a green dupatta.

He was declared dead by the time help arrived. An accidental death report has been filed at Manikpur Police Station under Section 194 of the BNS. Sushila Barla has informed the authorities that she does not suspect anyone’s involvement.

Further investigations are ongoing to confirm the circumstances surrounding both deaths.
