Pune: The Pune Housing and Area Development Board (PHADB), a regional unit of MHADA, will hold a computerized lottery for 3,662 flats across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, PMRDA, and Solapur on January 29, 2025. The event, set to take place at Pune Zilla Parishad Hall at 1 PM, will be inaugurated by Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister and Housing Minister, Eknath Shinde.
Over 71,642 applications have been received for the flats under various housing schemes, including 93 under MHADA Housing Schemes and 3,569 under the 20% Comprehensive Housing Scheme. The lottery will be conducted online through the Integrated Housing Lottery Management System (IHLMS) 2.0, ensuring transparency and eliminating human intervention, said Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer, Pune Board, MHADA.
The event will be attended by prominent officials, including Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune, Ajit Pawar and senior MHADA and municipal authorities. The results will be displayed live via LED screens at the venue and streamed online on MHADA’s official YouTube channel and social media platforms. A winners' list will be published on MHADA’s website (housing.mhada.gov.in) at 6 PM, with successful applicants receiving SMS notifications.
Citizens are warned against fraudulent activities, as reports have surfaced of individuals falsely promising flats for money. MHADA clarified that all flats are allocated solely through the official online lottery process. Applicants are advised to contact MHADA directly via official channels or report fraud to the nearest police station.

To further streamline flat distribution, MHADA has appointed marketing agencies for specific locations, but applicants must verify details with the Estate Manager of the Pune Board before engaging in transactions. Sakore urged applicants to remain vigilant and avoid unauthorized dealings.
The online registration process for this lottery began on October 10, 2024, and has received overwhelming participation, highlighting the public’s enthusiasm for affordable housing opportunities.
