The Maharashtra Legislature’s budget session is scheduled to be held in Mumbai from March 3 to March 26, 2025. The state budget will be presented in both houses on March 10. A key meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was held on Sunday at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai, to discuss the proceedings of the upcoming session.

The meeting was attended by Council chairman Ram Shinde, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, and other key legislators including Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, and Jitendra Awhad.

During the session, it was decided that despite March 8 being a public holiday, legislative proceedings will continue, whereas March 13 will be observed as a holiday for Holi celebrations. The opposition is expected to aggressively pursue the issue of Kokate’s disqualification, adding to the already heated political climate in the state.
