Maharashtra Home Department Transfers 21 IPS Officers In Major Reshuffle; Mumbai Gets 3 New DCPs

DCP Mangesh Shinde, who was heading the Special Task Force (STF) and Economic Offences Wing (EOW), has been transferred as Superintendent of Railway Police in Nagpur. During his tenure at the EOW, he was investigating cases involving the New India Bank scam and a housing fraud case in which IPS officer Rashmi Karandikar’s husband, Purushottam Chavan, was arrested.

Mumbai: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra Home Department on Thursday issued transfer orders for 21 IPS officers at the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) level. The reshuffle includes three new DCPs for Mumbai, namely Rakesh Ola, Sameer Aslam Shaikh, and Rajtilak Roshan.

Rakesh Ola, previously the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Ahilyanagar, has been transferred to Mumbai as DCP.

Sameer Aslam Shaikh, the former SP of Satara, has also been posted as a DCP in Mumbai.

Rajtilak Roshan, who was serving in the Director General of Police (DGP) office, will now serve as a DCP in Mumbai.

Mangesh Shinde transferred to Nagpur

DCP Mangesh Shinde, who was heading the Special Task Force (STF) and Economic Offences Wing (EOW), has been transferred as Superintendent of Railway Police in Nagpur. During his tenure at the EOW, he was investigating cases involving the New India Bank scam and a housing fraud case in which IPS officer Rashmi Karandikar’s husband, Purushottam Chavan, was arrested.

Other major transfers include: Somnath Gharge, SP of Raigad, has been posted as the new SP of Ahilyanagar.

Aanchal Dalal, currently with SRPF, will take over as SP of Raigad.

Mahendra Pandit, SP of Kolhapur, has been transferred as DCP Thane, while Yogesh Kumar Gupta replaces him as SP Kolhapur.

Bachchan Singh, SP of Akola, will now serve as SP of SRPF Nagpur. Archit Chandak has been appointed as the new SP of Akola.

Yatish Deshmukh – SP, Palghar

Saurabh Agrawal – SP, Pune Detection

Mohan Dahikar – SP, Sindhudurg

Nilesh Tambe – SP, Buldhana

Tushar Doshi – SP, Satara

Somay Munde – DCP, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Jayant Meena – SP, Latur

Nitin Bagate – SP, Ratnagiri

Ritu Khokhar – SP, Dharashiv

The reshuffle is seen as a strategic move to strengthen law enforcement and improve administrative efficiency across the state.
