Mumbai: In a strong message to maintain the unity of the ruling alliance, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned BJP MLAs and ministers against making loose or controversial statements that could spark rifts within the Mahayuti coalition. The warning was issued during a closed-door dinner meeting held at the Varsha Bungalow the official residence of the CM on Wednesday evening, where Fadnavis addressed party MLAs and key alliance leaders.
According to sources, Fadnavis explicitly said:
"Avoid making any statements that could lead to conflicts within Mahayuti. Do not provide the opposition with unnecessary ammunition during the monsoon session."
Over the past few weeks, tensions have flared within the Mahayuti alliance, with several BJP and alliance MLAs publicly expressing discontent on various issues. These internal spats have drawn media attention and criticism from the opposition, prompting Fadnavis to intervene.
