Mumbai: In a strong message to maintain the unity of the ruling alliance, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has warned BJP MLAs and ministers against making loose or controversial statements that could spark rifts within the Mahayuti coalition. The warning was issued during a closed-door dinner meeting held at the Varsha Bungalow the official residence of the CM on Wednesday evening, where Fadnavis addressed party MLAs and key alliance leaders.

According to sources, Fadnavis explicitly said:

"Avoid making any statements that could lead to conflicts within Mahayuti. Do not provide the opposition with unnecessary ammunition during the monsoon session."

According to sources, In his brief but pointed speech, Fadnavis urged all BJP MLAs and ministers to remain alert and disciplined during the ongoing monsoon session of the legislature. He made it clear that divisive or controversial statements would not be tolerated, and sources say some legislators have already been privately reprimanded by senior party leadership for their remarks.

The dinner meeting also served as a platform to mobilize BJP and alliance leaders for the upcoming local self-government elections. According to sources, Fadnavis instructed MLAs to begin groundwork and voter outreach in their respective constituencies.
