Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday announced that 100 acres of land will be made available for the establishment of Vidarbha Global Skill University. He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of the three-day event organised by the Association for Industrial Development at the campus of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
Commending the successful organisation of the MP Industrial Festival, the Chief Minister expressed hope that a large number of employment opportunities would be created through various agreements. He stated that every sector in Vidarbha is progressing, and the festival has provided a platform for these sectors.
He further mentioned that the comprehensive development of Vidarbha is a key objective, and efforts are underway to establish Nagpur and Amravati as magnet regions, which will lead to the development of surrounding areas. He also suggested that a conference focused on tourism should be organised in the future.

At the festival, Union Minister Piyush Goyal praised his cabinet colleague Nitin Gadkari’s proposal to establish a Skill University between Nagpur and Butibori. He highlighted that this year’s budget includes the decision to set up 100 plug-and-play industrial zones across the country, with Maharashtra expected to take the lead in this initiative.
