Mumbai: Actress Rakhi Sawant is expected to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Police tomorrow in connection with the ongoing controversy surrounding the YouTube show India’s Got Latent. Sawant was summoned on February 27 as she had appeared as a guest on the show.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija’s statement was recorded by the Cyber Police. Mukhija has been named in the case related to obscenity registered by the Maharashtra Cyber Police. However, the police have yet to record the statement of stand-up comedian Samay Raina.

Earlier, on Monday, YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani recorded their statements regarding the controversy. In his statement, Ranveer accepted his mistake and admitted to making controversial remarks on the show. He also apologized to the police for his actions.

Ranveer clarified that Samay Raina is his friend and that he participated in the show only as a favor to him, without charging any fees. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell investigation is still ongoing.
