Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has officially launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Mumbai to mark the celebration of Independence Day 2025. Taking to the social media platform X, the civic body announced that the campaign “Tricolour in Every Home” is being implemented nationwide to promote patriotism and unity among citizens.

In its post, the BMC urged all Mumbaikars to actively participate in the campaign and join hands in making this Independence Day memorable. “On the occasion of Indian Independence Day, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, meaning 'Tricolour in Every Home,' is being implemented across the country,” the BMC said.

Additionally, the BMC informed that various cultural and public programs are being organised throughout Mumbai in honour of the national celebration. These events aim to foster a deeper sense of national pride and community participation. The BMC has appealed to citizens to take part in these events and contribute to the spirit of independence by proudly displaying the national flag at their homes and joining in the festivities.

Panvel Schools, Colleges Mark ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign With Competitions & Pledge

In another news story related to Independence Day, the Panvel Municipal Corporation is actively participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by organising a range of patriotic activities across various schools and colleges in the city.

As part of this initiative, letter-writing and quiz competitions were conducted at several educational institutions, including Loknete Ramsheth Thakur School, DSP International School, MNR School of Excellence, Shantiniketan School, Gokhale Education Society, Radcliffe School, Shri Suvidya School, Ramsheth Thakur Public School, Ramsheth Thakur Junior College, and Pillai College of Engineering.

The primary goal of these events was to instil a sense of patriotism among students and enhance their understanding of the significance of the national flag. Certificates were awarded to the winners, and students also took a pledge to respect and uphold the honour of the Tricolour.
