Over 2,800 students, faculty and staff members have received vaccine jabs over the last three days at the COVID-19 vaccination camp held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.

The drive was organised after repeated demands from students who have returned to the campus for the new academic year 2021-22. Currently, there are over 3,000 students on campus who returned from their homes when the lockdown restrictions were relaxed.

A senior official of IIT Bombay said, "We aim to provide vaccination to all our students, faculty and staff members on campus. Students are also informed to complete a 14-day quarantine period on their return to campus as a precautionary measure."
