In a post on social media platform X, the RMC stated, “Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Konkan-Goa. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over the Ghats area of South Madhya Maharashtra.”

The update came as parts of Maharashtra continue to witness active monsoon conditions. The weather agency also warned of thunderstorms with lightning, along with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30–40 km/h, especially over the Ghat areas of North Madhya Maharashtra.

RMC Mumbai added, “Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and heavy to very heavy rain with gusty wind speed reaching 30 to 40 km/h are very likely to occur at isolated places over the Ghats area of North Madhya Maharashtra.”
