Commuters at Goregaon railway station will have to adjust their travel routes as the Old North Foot Over Bridge (FOB) is set to close for dismantling and reconstruction. The bridge will be inaccessible for 180 days starting April 2, 2025, as part of infrastructure upgrades by railway authorities.
During this period, passengers can use the new North Foot Over Bridge, which is located adjacent to the old structure. Officials have assured that the new FOB will be fully operational to ensure smooth pedestrian movement.
"The closure is part of ongoing efforts to modernize station infrastructure and improve commuter safety. While the temporary inconvenience is regretted, authorities urge passengers to cooperate and use alternative routes as necessary" said an official adding that for further updates, commuters are advised to check railway announcements and official notifications.
