Mumbai: A fire broke out on the third floor of the Aamdar Niwas building in Mumbai’s Nariman Point on the morning of February 7. The blaze started in a room on the third floor, but fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported, according to an IANS report.

Upon receiving the alert, firefighters from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, along with local police, quickly reached the scene and managed to control the fire before it could spread further. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the fire and further details are awaited.

Major Fire Reported In Kurla Recently

This incident follows another major fire that erupted on February 1 at a scrap market in Kurla. Firefighters battled the flames for nearly three hours before bringing the situation under control. Around seven to eight shops were gutted, but no injuries were reported.

Details On The Fire Incident

The fire broke out around 4:20 pm at scrap shops near the Equinox building in Kurla West. By 4:45 pm, it was classified as a level 2 (major fire), prompting the deployment of four fire engines, six water tankers and other support vehicles. Fire officials noted that the presence of large amounts of scrap materials fueled the fire’s rapid spread.

To prevent further risks, civic officials cordoned off the area while firefighters worked to contain the blaze and stop it from spreading to nearby structures. After extensive efforts, the fire was finally brought under control by 7:15 pm. The cause of the fire remains unknown and a detailed inquiry by the fire brigade is underway.
