Mumbai : Yesteryear actress Sadhana Nayyar on Tuesday met the Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Atul Kulkarni regarding a complaint that she has submitted at Santa Cruz police against the builder who owns her building, Sangeeta.
According to the actress, who had gone to meet Kulkarni with BJP leader Shaina NC, the builder wants to redevelop the building and the tenants to relocate. However, Sadhana, who is a senior citizen now and has been living on the ground floor of the building for 60 years, does not want to do so. An eviction suit was also filed against Sadhana in 2013 by the builder.
According to the actress, due to some construction work going on in the second floor of the building, she has been facing a lot of inconvenience due to the continuous noise. She also fractured her hip three weeks ago after she slipped and fell on the water that had seeped down from the second floor to the ground floor. The incident has caused Sadhana to submit a written complaint with the Santa Cruz police and with other civic authorities. While no FIR has been registered in the case yet, Kulkarni assured her that the Mumbai police will look into the matter.
