The Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena rebel camp on Tuesday for the first time on record admitted that former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shinde enjoy cordial relationship claiming that Fadnavis gave them protection during the present political situation. The rebel camp spokesman Deepak Kesarkar said efforts will be made to reach Maharashtra as soon as possible. ‘’Take the floor test, we will reveal our stand during that time. Whatever is currently happening is an emotional blackmail,’’ he noted.

Speaking on behalf of the rebel MLAs, Kesarkar said, "I have good relations with Devendra Fadnavis. Even at 12 o'clock at night, Fadnavis picks up my phone. When we are now isolated and sought his (Fadnavis) help, what is wrong about it?’’he asked.

‘’Fadnavis protected us on his own. We are getting protection in the BJP ruled state,’’ noted Kesarkar.

Sharad Pawar broke Shiv Sena three times

Kesarkar said that the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is deteriorating due to statements made by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. ‘’Sharad Pawar broke Shiv Sena three times. Pawar gave strength and support to the NCP candidate who was defeated in the elections by Shiv Sena. Pawar was trusted when the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was in power, but now he is finishing Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena is being harassed by NCP so that power does not go away. It is said that we will merge with the BJP, but these are rumours,’’ he claimed.

Raut should resign, he is an MP because of us

On Sanjay Raut’s statements, Kesarkar said that the MLAs of Shinde group were angry with him. ‘’We were elected due to the Shiv Sena BJP alliance in the 2019 assembly elections. No party should get a spokesperson like Raut,’’ he said.

‘’Raut terms Eknath Shinde a Rickshawwala, but the same rickshaw puller succeeded in Shiv Sena’s growth and he was instrumental in Shiv Sena getting power in Thane,’’ said Kesarkar and demanded that Raut who uses derogatory language, should resign as an MP.

Shinde is the leader of our group

Kesarkar reiterated that Eknath Shinde is the leader of the legislator’s group. ‘’Don't play with our emotions. There will be tit for tat. We will give a befitting reply in the same language used by Raut,’’ he said.

On the news about Thackeray’s phone call to Fadnavis with a plea to save the MVA government, Kesarkar said it was a positive development. However, Thackeray has denied any such phone call with Fadnavis.

"Can’t even pay our hotel bills?’’asked Kesarkar saying that they have been camping in the hotel as their homes and properties are being damaged.
