MBMC chief Radhabinod A. Sharma (IAS) has been invited as the keynote speaker at the event titled 'Women-led Development through Entrepreneurship'.
About The Faraal Sakhi Initiative
Under the Faraal Sakhi initiative, the MBMC not only trained and encouraged women to manufacture various types of snacks in a commercial manner, but also set up a mechanism for branding and selling the products. The initiative received an overwhelming response as more than 3 tons of snacks were sold during the festive season of Diwali, last year.

The MBMC has rolled up its sleeves to transform “Faral Sakhi” into a comprehensive brand aimed at generating self-employment opportunities for women. Notably, the MBMC has collaborated with the central government and formally launched 'Faraal Sakhi'- Award to Reward initiative under the aegis of NITI Aayog’s women entrepreneurship platform (WEP) under which 25 women were given training on business management, marketing-branding strategy, handling finances, attracting investments, credit management and procuring business loans.
