Dr Anahita Pandole and her husband Darius Pandole are in a semi-conscious state due to which the doctors have not performed the surgery, the hospital sources said on Tuesday. The doctors will monitor the health condition of Dr Anahita for the next 4-5 days after which the decision on surgery will be taken.
However, the condition of Darius Pandole is better than Dr Anahita Pandole.
“There is a slight improvement in Dr Anahita and further course of treatment will be taken when she is off external support systems. Moreover, we are also planning to reduce her medication and oxygen support to check her self-sustainability. Following that, we will monitor all her health parameters and then a decision will be taken whether she can undergo surgery on her hip and pelvic regions,” said an official from the hospital.
According to the doctor from the Rainbow hospital in Vapi, Dr Anahita had severe pelvic injuries and there was a loss of blood from the pelvic region and there was blood in her chest after she met with a car accident in Palghar District on September 4. Following she was stabilised in the ICU and she responded after two hours of admission. Later on Monday morning, she was transferred to Sir HN Reliance hospital in Mumbai through the green corridor after doctors denied permission to airlift Dr Anahita due to lung injuries.
