COVID-19: Maharashtra cumulative vaccination tally crosses 3.63 crore

In the ongoing vaccination drive, Maharashtra on July 10 has vaccinated 3,66,036 through 1,710 centres.

According to data released by the government, Maharashtra, as of 7 am on July 11, inoculated 3,63,44,581 people.

As per the state government data, 83,32,757 individuals aged between 18 and 44 years received the vaccine doses in the state since the inoculation drive for this age group began on May 1.

So far, 12,81,897 health care workers have been administered the first dose of the vaccine, while 8,62,380 of them have got their second dose.

Similarly, 21,02,020 frontline workers in the state have till now received their first vaccine dose and of them, 9,77,790 got their second dose.

Apart from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan have admistered 3,71,66,392, 2,76,37,323 and 2,63,31,461 doses respectively.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra reported 8,296 new COVID-19 cases, 6,026 recoveries and 179 deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the state health department, the state has 1,14,000 active cases and the total count of cases stands at 61,49,264 including 59,06,466 recoveries.

The death toll has gone up to 1,25,528.

The case fatality rate in the state is at 2.04 per cent and the recovery rate stands at 96.05 per cent.

At present, 5,85,580 people are in home quarantine and 4,737 people are in institutional quarantine.

Mumbai recorded 504 new COVID-19 cases, 736 recoveries and 13 deaths in the last 24 hours. The metropolis has 7,484 active cases.
