COVID-19: As Maharashtra eases lockdown in 5 phases, here's what will open from tomorrow

In a relief, Maharashtra Minister Vijay Wadettiwar on Thursday (June 3) announced that the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions will be completely lifted in 18 of the 36 districts from tomorrow (Friday, June 4). Wadettiwar said the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has prepeared a 5-level unlock plan on the basis of positivity rate and status of occupancy of oxygen beds in the districts.

As per the new guidelines released by the state government, districts with the lowest positivity rate - below 5% and oxygen availability is within 25 per cent will have no restrictions.

Which districts are listed in Level 1?

Thane, Aurangabad, Latur, Nanded, Jalna, Parbhani, Buldhana, Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal

Lockdowns have been withdrawn from this district.

What will remain open now in Level 1?

Restaurants, malls allowed

Gardens, walking treks will open

Private, government offices will operate 100 percent capacity

Film shooting will be allowed

Theaters will operate at full capacity

No limit on attendees for public events or wedding ceremonies

E-commerce will be allowed to operate with full capacity

Gyms, saloons, parlour, wellness centers will be allowed to remain open

Buses allowed to operate with 100% capacity

Besides, there will be no curfew imposed in this level.

However, there will be some restrictions on those coming from other states, orders will be issued later.
