BMC Invites Public Suggestions For 2025-26 Civic Budget Ahead Of February 5 Presentation; Check Details

The civic body aims to ensure public participation in preparing the budget estimates for the financial year 2025-26, which will include projected income and expenditure.

The BMC has invited suggestions and objections from citizens regarding the 2025-26 civic budget. Citizens can send their feedback via email to bmcbudget.suggestion@mcgm.gov.in by January 17.

This is the third consecutive year that the BMC has sought public input in the absence of an elected body.The civic body aims to ensure public participation in preparing the budget estimates for the financial year 2025-26, which will include projected income and expenditure.

These estimates will be presented on or before February 5. Additionally, citizens can also submit their suggestions in writing to the Chief Accountant (Finance) Department, located on the 4th floor of the BMC Head Office in Fort. 

The BMC had presented a budget of Rs. 59,954.75 crore for the financial year 2024-25, which was a 13.9% increase from the previous year's budget. It also included a capital expenditure of Rs. 31,774.6 crore.
