Mumbai: An incident has come forward from Mumbai fort's Azad Maidan area where a double-decker BEST bus has caught fire near Chhatrapati ShivajI Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station. The Mumbai Traffic police has issued an advisory for the travellers. No information about injuries have been reported.

According to report by PTI, the BEST double-decker electric bus suddenly ignited on Tuesday morning near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in south Mumbai, interrupting the typical rush hour travel. Officials verified that no injuries occurred in this event.

The city transport bus on route 138 caught fire at a bus stop near the terminal at approximately 9:15 a.m. A fire truck was quickly sent to the scene, and firefighters successfully put out the fire rapidly, as reported by officials. The precise cause of the fire is still unknown, as investigations are in progress to determine the factors that led to this unexpected blaze.

Mumbai Traffic Police Issues Advisory

The official X handle of Mumbai Traffic Police has informed that there is a slow motion of traffic at D N Road opposite to Siddharth College near Azad Maidan moving Southward.
