Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Hemant Mhaske launched a sharp attack on Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut, accusing him of longstanding hatred towards the late Shiv Sena stalwart Anand Dighe. Speaking to the media, Mhaske alleged that it was Raut's interview that led to Dighe being booked under TADA laws. "Due to this, it's impossible for Sanjay Raut to ever see Dharmaveer Anand Dighe even in his dreams," said Mhaske.

Meanwhile, Mhaske claimed that it was Balasaheb Thackeray who appeared in his dreams, praising Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s tireless work in Mumbai and Thane amid heavy rains.

“Balasaheb said he was proud of Eknath Shinde, who was on the ground even during torrential downpours, while those who rose to power due to me, who enjoyed years of authority in the BMC, are hiding indoors like cowards. These people were once my disciples, but I now feel ashamed of them,” said Mhaske.

Sanjay Raut Speaking Pakistan's Language: Naresh Mhaske

Mhaske went further to accuse Raut of echoing pro-Pakistan sentiments. “If I were in his place, I would have invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mumbai and felicitated him for the success of Operation Sindoor. But our own people are speaking the language of Pakistan. They deserve to be rejected by the people of India,” said Mhaske, adding that Balasaheb Thackeray had said this to him in his dream.

Mhaske also took a swipe at the opposition alliance, saying that during the Maha Vikas Aghadi regime, Sanjay Raut and his associates were left waiting outside Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi’s residences in Delhi. “Everyone saw who they were trying to please back then,” he said.

Mhaske also highlighted how the NDA respected Maharashtra’s leadership. “At the recent NDA meeting, the honour of tabling the resolution congratulating PM Modi and the armed forces for Operation Sindoor was given to Deputy CM Eknath Shinde,” he said. He also noted that NDA entrusted MP Dr Shrikant Shinde with leading an Indian parliamentary delegation abroad, calling it a moment of pride for Maharashtra.

Mhaske concluded by saying that while Raut and others continue to seek validation outside closed doors, the NDA leadership is recognising true merit and service.
