Mumbai: Amid raging controversy over the scam in the purchase of land for the Ram Temple premises in Ayodhya, Shiv Sena on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will have to intervene to set the records straight.
‘’The construction of Ram Mandir is an act of national pride. If anyone is deliberately defaming this work, action must be taken against them. The temple is being built through the sacrifices and struggles of many. If there will be a blot on the construction of Ram Mandir, then the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is unavoidable,’’ said Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece Saamana.
“It is the wish of all Hindus all over the world that there should be a grand temple of Lord Rama in Ayodhya. Hindus had to give a big fight for that Ram Mandir in their own Hindustan. Sadhus, saints, tax collectors shed blood on the land of Ayodhya. The river Sharyau turned red with the blood of Hindus,’’ said Shiv Sena.
Shive Sena referred to the AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s allegation that the Trust bought the land for over Rs 18 crore from people who purchased it for just Rs 2 crore — just minutes earlier. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Monday demanded 'clarification' from the Trust and other leaders, saying the construction of the temple is a matter of faith for the saffron party and the common people.
