2 Pedestrians Killed In Separate Mumbai Road Accidents; Identities Yet To Be Confirmed

A 55-year-old unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck by an auto-rickshaw on SV Road, near HP Petrol Pump, in Malad West on Friday. Mumbai: A 55-year-old unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck by an auto-rickshaw on SV Road, near HP Petrol Pump, in Malad West on Friday.

The police have issued a notice to the 61-year-old driver, Laxman Surve, and are trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased, who succumbed to multiple injuries before being rushed by by-standers to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali West.

About Another Incident

In a separate incident, a 35-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a heavy vehicle in Mankhurd on Thursday evening. The identity of the deceased, whose right limbs were severed, is yet to be ascertained in this case as well. The car driver, Abdul Samad Shaikh, 39, was arrested for negligent driving but later released on bail.
