Ujjain: The traffic week was inaugurated by SP Sachin Atulkar here on Monday at Tower Chowk. According to sources, the state government sent a FAX in this regard and all arrangements were made hastily. Over 1200 students took out a rally to spread the message of safe and secure driving and sensitized people about importance of traffic rules.
The traffic week will continue till February 10 and during this period, strict checking will be conducted by the traffic police. The traffic cops will check vehicle documents. ASP Neeraj Pande and other senior police officials were also present. The DSP traffic said that as per schedule the traffic week should be observed in January every year but due to some reasons, the traffic week was delayed.
