Ujjain: A divisional convention of minority wing of Congress party was held at Kalidas Academy on Saturday. During the convention minority members demanded that cases registered on them be revoked. The members also demanded that employments be provided to minorities in the recruitments. The members handed over a memorandum in this regard to state minister Sajaan Verma who was attending the programme.
Congress minority department in-charge Shanawaz Ahemad and Hazi Mujeeb Qureshi were present in the meeting. During the programme two minutes silence was observed for paying tributes to Pulwama martyrs. On this occasion MLA Ramlal Malviya, Mahesh Pramar, social worker Surendrasing Arora, district Congress head Mahesh Soni and other members were present. The convention was conducted Maqsood Ali and vote of thanks was delivered by Mazid Khan.
Attends programme of Sarv-Rajak Samaj
On his arrival Verma also attended a matrimony introduction programme of ‘Sarv Rajak community’ at Narsing Ghat. Addressing the programme Verma said youth should work hard for the development of the community. The minister also garlanded the idol of saint Gadge Maharaj. He was welcomed by president of community Narayansingh Batham, Shiv Lashikar and others. MLA Murli Morwal, Mahesh Parmar and other leaders were also present in the programme.
