Ujjain: Officials inspect 118-km Panchkroshi Yarta route

Thousands of devotees are expected to take part in Panchkroshi Yatra which will start from April 29 and will end on May 3.
On Saturday divisional commissioner Ajit Singh, IG Rakesh Gupta, DIG Anil Sharma, collector Shashank Mishra SP Sachin Atulkar and other officials concerned inspected the 118-km yatra route.

The officials instructed the officers concerned to ensure proper lighting, cleanliness, bathrooms, toilets, tents, edibles and drinking water at every halt point of the participants during their journey. The officials started their inspection from performing worship at Nagchandreshwar temple located in Patnibazar. The commissioner instructed to deploy magistrates and cops to manage mob as at the temple so that devotees could move peacefully to their next destination. T

he officials inspected official halt points at village Undasa, Pingleshwar, Karohan, Shani Mandir Triveni, Nalwa, Ambodiya, Kaliyadeh and Jaithal where devotees will take rest during the journey.  Collector Shashank Mishra and commissioner insisted to provide health check-up and medicinal aid to the devotees during the journey by providing a mobile clinic with doctors. The patchwork of the route and cleanliness were also taken into consideration.

According to officials, the devotees will start yatra from Nagchandreshwar temple and will complete 118-km journey by taking rests at Pingleshwar, Kayavrohneshwar, Nalwa, Bilkeshwar, Ambodiya, Kaliadeh, Jaithal Durdeshwar, Undasa before reaching at Kshipra riverbanks. According to Hindu assumptions devotees participate in the Panchkroshi Yatra to obtain four forms of manhood, Arth, Dharm, Kama and Moksha which were mentioned in the Hindu religious books.
