Ujjain: MP is nat’l school baseball champ

Ujjain: The 64th National School Baseball meet concluded on Thursday. The competition was organised under the aegis of School education department. The prize distribution ceremony was conducted at sports area in Mahananda Nagar.
Publicity committee members Amitoj Bhargava and Sanjay Lalwani said that SGFI vice president Alok Khare presided over the programme while SGFI observer Suresh Sharma was special guest. Joint director public education Sanjay Goyal, assistant director sport RK Paliwal and ADPC Girsih Tiwari also shared the stage.

The guests were welcomed by Sanjay Goyal, RK Paliwal, Girish Tiwari, Amitoj Bhargava, Mukesh Trivedi and Arvind Joshi. The welcome speech was delivered by Sanjay Goyal. Bhargava said that 500 students from 15 states participated in the tournament in which 49 matches were played. The trophy was won by Madhya Pradesh. Organisational secretary Sanjay Goyal congratulated participants. The programme was conducted by Jyoti Jain while gratitude was expressed by Girish Tiwari.
