Ujjain: Host of the programmes will be organised across the city to mark onset of Hindu New Year on Saturday with the celebration of Gudi padwa. A grand function will be organised at Duttakhada ghat of the Kshipra on early morning 5am. Organising committee member Pt Chandanguru said that the programme would start with lighting of lamps at the ghat which would be followed recitation of vaidik richas by scholar priests with the worship of the river. With rising of the sun recitation of Aditya Stotram will be performed by the priests with specials worship of lord Sun.
Chandanguru further told that the new religious flag will be placed on the top of Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. The scholars and saints will deliver a discourse regarding importance of celebration of Hindu new year with distribution of mishri and leaves of Neem. Navsmvat Nav-vichar will inaugurate 22 nd Akhil Bhartiya Vikramotsav on the auspicious day of Gudi padwa on Saturday with offering ardhya to lord Sun. Organisation head Yogesh Sharma and secretary Dinesh Jain said that on this occasion at Gopal Mandir gudi and religious flag will be worshipped with ritual and will be placed on the temple.
Sharma added that astrologer Anandshankar Vyas will address the people and make predictions for the year to come. BJP culture and art cell will celebrat the New Year and Gudi padwa on Saturday at its office. Providing information Mangesh Shrivastava told that celebration will be made on 6am early morning. After placing the gudi raksha sutras will be tied to the party members with distribution of sweets. Shrivastava further told that in the evening at Tower chowk the flag will be hoisted and holy mark will be put on the fore heads on denizens.
BJP to celebrate establishment day on Gudi Padwa
The local unit of Bhartiya Janata Party will celebrate its 39 th establishment day on Gudi Padwa at its office Lokshakti Bhawan on 9.30am under the leadership of district head Vivek Joshi. On this occasion national vice president Prabhat Jha will also be present. Media in-charge Sachin Saxena and Dinesh Jatwa told that on this occasion senior leaders and party workers will also be present.
Ramkatha to be organised
On the occasion of onset of Hindu New Year Ram-katha will be discoursed at Manas Bhawan by Pt Sudheer Pandya from 3pm to 6.30 pm till April 14. This information was provided by Dinesh Sukhanandan Joshi.
Vaisya diwas today
Vaisya community will celebrate Gudi Padwa as Vaisya diwas on Saturday. The community members will worship their patron goddess Lakshmi. A religious procession will also be taken out by the community members from Kshirsagar located Manas Bhawan on 4pm. Programme convener Kuldeep Dharia informed that three girls will impersonate goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati and Durga during the procession. Ghariya and other office bearers of the community appealed the community members to attend the programme.
Sindhi community to celebrate Cheti-Chand
Sindhi community will celebrated its principal festival Cheti Chand on Saturday. Community member Deepak Rajwani informed that with 1111 lamps the patron god Varundev will be worshiped on the day at Varundev Akhand Jyoti Mandir in the leadership of temple head Mohanlal Vaswani. The celebration will start on 8.30 am afterward a community feast will be organised. On 4pm a religious procession of will be taken out from the temple which will pass through principle roads of the city and end at Ramghat. After maha-arti a musical night will be organised in which singer Lata Bhagtani and her group will present hymns and cultural songs. Rajwani further informed that principal convener Prakash Sukhwani, Chetan Vaswani and other office bearers appealed the community members to attend the programme.
Gudi Padwa: To be celebrated with lighting of 2076 lamps
Pushpam Samajik Seva Samiti will celebrated the onset of Hindu Samvat 2076 with the same numbers of lamps which will decorated at statue of king Vikramdiya located and Vikram Tila locatd at Rudrasagar area. Organiser Ganeshguru told that on this occasion fire crackers will also be set off.
