Ujjain: Contractor booked following labourer’s death at Government Engineering College

Ujjain: Nanankheda police registered an FIR against the contractor Suresh son of Mohanlal Koushal whose labourers were demolishing the dilapidated water tank in the premises of Government Engineering College. While carrying out the demolition, the tank collapsed suddenly and one of his labourers Ramesh got buried under the debris and died on the spot. An FIR under sections 304 and 288 of the IPC has been registered against the contractor for not following safety measures during the demolition of the tank. Another labourer Shagan who was injured in the incident is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
