Ujjain: Municipal commissioner Pratibha Pal visited various polling booths across the city after moral code of conduct was imposed. The commissioner visited Ramghat to take the stock of cleanliness. The commissioner also visited waste clothes and paper recycling unit located at civic body work shop. On this occasion ADG Vijay Katariya and Richa Choube were also present.
Taking action against political banners, hoardings and danglers the civic body officials informed that adhering to moral code of conduct political banners are being removed from various areas of the city. On Wednesday such banners and wall paintings were removed from ward number 36 under Property Defacement Act.
Tax defaulter’s property attached: Civic body officials taking stringent action against property tax defaulters attached their properties on Wednesday. According to assistant property tax officer Ramesh Raghuvanshi tax defaulter Akhlakq Hussein’s property was attached, he is a resident of Ramprasad Bhargav Marg area. According to Raghuvanshi he did not pay the property tax amounting Rs 3,84,000 even after sending many notices to him.
Acting against illegal encroachments, civic body officials removed encroachments from Kal Bhairav temple area on Wednesday. During the drive many temporary encroachments were removed. The officials also took strict action against litterbugs. Health inspector Ajay Davre and Vijay Bali seized banned polythene bags from shopkeepers located in Nanakheda and Shani Mandir and charged penalty of Rs 4,250. They also charged penalty Rs 10,000 from Sulabh complex local management on finding filth in the public toilet.
