Ujjain: Bharatiya Buddha Mahasabha will be organising Buddha Mahastupa Mahotsav on February 3. Mahotsav will convene at Vaishya Tekari, Kanipura. Organisations including Bharatiya Buddha Mahasabha, Buddha Mahastupa Sangh and Dr Ambedkar Rashtriya Yuva Sangh met recently at Ashok Buddha Vihar to chart out preparatory plan for the event.
President Mala Lokhande asserted that Buddhist community is second largest community in the world just next to Christians and have disciples in more than 200 countries across the globe. Members also raised demand for the protection and development of the Buddha Mahastupa at Kanipura. Among the other members, historian Dr RK Ahirwar, Asha Telang, Chitralekha Manavatkar, Sangita Temabhun and Manorama Samgade participated in the programme.
