Ujjain: Collector Shashank Mishra inspected the Bhasmaarti arrangements at Mahakaleshwar Temple on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. He looked at Bhasmarati arrangements through CCTV cameras of control room and inspected entry procedures and found arrangements to be adequate. Devotees from all over the country visit Mahakaleshwar Temple for Bhasmaarti darshan, but people. Due to this some miscreants take advantage by minting money from the visitors for entry of Bhasmaarti.
Collector during surprise inspection of the temple couple of days had caught home guard jawan and a temple committee worker taking Rs 2000 from a devotee who had come from Uttar Pradesh. The issue reached at Mahakal Police Station and it is being investigated. After receiving complaints collector once again inspected the temple.
Bhasmaarti in-charge Anurag Choubey and all the workers deployed at the entry gate were found working. Mishra verified all procedures with in-charge and reviewed Bhasmaarti entry procedure with CCTV cameras of control room. He ordered that Bhasmaarti permission and entry procedure should be duly complied with and if any sort of complaint will be received then prompt action will be taken against the errant persons.
