Bhanudas Berad, Ahmednagar district president of the BJP, said the expulsion order was issued by the party’s state office. Wakchaure, elected from Shirdi in 2009, was expecting that the BJP would field him from the constituency. However, Shirdi was given to the Sena as part of the seat-sharing deal between the two allies.
