Lok Sabha elections 2019: 54-year-old man sweeper on poll duty dies of cardiac arrest

Thane: A 54-year-old man on election duty in the Kalyan Lok Sabha seat in Ulhasnagar died of cardiac arrest. The deceased, Bhagwan Magare, worked as a sweeper in Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation.  According to sources, the incident took place when Magare comple­ted his work on booth and went to have lunch with other colleagues in another room in the booth.

He suddenly fell from the chair after complaining of chest pain. Other polling staffers rushed him to Central hospital in Ulhasnagar, where he declared brought dead. The staff working with him suspect that Magare suffered heart attack.
