Sivasri Skandaprasad is a 28-year-old Carnatic singer, best known for lending her voice to filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ franchise. Born in 1996, she comes from a family deeply rooted in classical music. Her father, Seerkazhi Sri J Skandaprasad, is a renowned Mridangam maestro.
But Sivasri’s talents extend far beyond music. She is also a Bharatanatyam dancer and a Namasankeerthanam artist. She has performed at several prestigious venues in Chennai, including Narada Gana Sabha and Brahma Gana Sabha, and has provided vocals for celebrated Bharatanatyam dancers.
