Who is Rayvanny?
Rayvanny, born Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, is one of Tanzania’s biggest musicians and a global face of Bongo Flava, the country’s signature blend of Afrobeat, reggae, and hip-hop.
He’s no stranger to international attention either. In 2023, he earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Latin Pop Album category for his collaboration with Colombian superstar Maluma on 'Mama Tetema', a reimagined version of his original track with Diamond Platnumz, produced by S2Kizzy. That collab later appeared on Maluma’s album 'Don Juan'.
Known for his smooth vocals, catchy hooks, and seamless cross-genre versatility, Rayvanny is quickly becoming the go-to name for global fusion hits.
