Have you ever dreamed of waking up surrounded by nature, growing your own food, and not worrying about monthly bills? For Sangeeth and Kavya, this isn't just a dream; it's real life. Their latest Instagram video, titled "Home with Zero Cost Living", is going viral for all the right reasons, giving the internet a glimpse into a self-sustained life that many only imagine.

Check out the viral video below:

Home built on intentional living

Sangeeth and Kavya, travel bloggers behind the page @lifeonroads__, have sparked conversations with their unique home setup. Shared on July 19, their video reveals how they invested 60% of their savings into building a home that may look "messy" to some but is designed for long-term sustainability and zero cost of living.

What makes their home so special is that every corner is built with purpose, and every element of their lifestyle is rooted in nature. They don’t rely on supermarkets or outside utilities. Instead, they live in harmony with their land.

How they've achieved 'zero cost living’

Here’s how the couple manages to keep their living costs nearly zero:

Food: Their vegetables and fish come from their very own kitchen garden and pond.

Grains: They cultivate their own rice.

Protein: Chickens, cows, and a few hens provide fresh eggs and milk.

Waste Management: The home is equipped with a biogas plant and a wet waste system to minimise waste and energy use.

Mushrooms: One room in the house is dedicated to cultivating mushrooms.

It’s not just about savings; it’s about connection. The couple says this lifestyle is part of their vision for a peaceful and sustainable retirement.

'More than the money, the thought'

In their caption, Sangeeth and Kavya reflect on the deeper purpose behind their journey: “More than the money, the thought. Is always to wake up at a home where you never feel stressed or irritated, you would definitely have that moments you sit and talk with your loved ones about little dreams right, it’s just like that."

They further stated, "Growing our own food, connected to nature, managing our own waste in a sensibly sustainable set up. Can’t say it’s 100% sustainable but it’s great to keep trying, having this conversation after making our chickens get home with sound of crickets around, life feels peaceful.

They also revealed, "In the next 10 days our mushrooms will sprout, and would be happy to share them with a few. After this rain stops it’s our little dream to build a small tree house!"

"If you could come and give us company, that would be fun :) So share it with that person who always understands your dreams, the conversation would be magical 🐢,” the couple concluded.
