Just wrapped up a performance at the National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA)? Suzette Creperie and Cafe is the perfect spot to share the exciting moments of the show with a friend, as you settle down with a warm Buckwheat crepe fresh off the griddle or a apple, carrot and ginger juice that can be perfectly paired with one of the cafe's ‘Make Your Own Salads.’
Looking for a calm spot to catch up on the next few chapters of a novel or are you wanting to just spend some 'me time' listening to your favourite tracks on your headphones? The rustic wood, black and off-white aesthetic of Suzette creates an environment in which you can focus — one best enjoyed with a cup of coffee. Whether you're looking for energy from their double espresso or a Nutellatte to take the edge off, Suzette's menu is multi-faceted.
The cafe's founders, Antonia Achache and Jérémie Sabbagh, met during a Sciences Po exchange program at Jahawarlal Nehru University in Delhi. After completing their master's degrees and settling into steady jobs in Mumbai, the entrepreneurial couple set out to open a restaurant together in 2011. French cuisine was still a rarity in the city when Pierre Labail joined them in a partnership to change that through a place they would call Suzette. From its dim-lit cozy charm to its hearty range of crepes, salads, sandwiches, croques and eggs, among other items, the cafe rarely disappoints.

Although their options have a limit on the types of food items offered, the ‘Make Your Own’ menu allows you to experiment with ingredients, and like they say, "it's your turn to be the chef".
But, let’s face it, everyone has days when they're not up for heavy thinking. Suzette’s Poulet sandwich (₹650) — layered with grilled chicken, fresh basil, feta, fresh and sundried tomatoes and black olives — makes for a substantial meal with classic flavour pairings.
If you’re not looking for something as heavy as a sandwich, the Croque Pesto — fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, almonds and basil pesto and zucchini within a hot wrap — is a square but not overstuffing meal.
Dearest picky eaters, here's some good news for you: although Suzette's French-inspired menu can seem intimidating — with its mix-and-match of crepe, sandwich and croque fillings — its flavours adapt to your palette and preferences.
If you’re fussy with your veggies, for example, the cafe's pizza crepe is a great way to incorporate some tomatoes, mushrooms and basil in their meal — this brings in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

If you like to get creative with your meals, head to Suzette for a 'breakfast-for-dinner' night! The creperie's all-day breakfast menu has savoury, sweet, energy and French packages; including eggs, crepes, small bites or a viennoiserie item paired with a drink.
Or is it one of those times where it's heavier on the talk and less heavy on the food? Munch on their yoghurt, seasonal fruit compote and home-made granola to fill in conversation gaps; and spill the tea alongside their assortment of Tisane teas (especially chamomile). Suzette's small but hearty space, despite being a public restaurant, is welcoming to personal chats.
Finally, you can't leave this secret spot without trying at least one of their signature sweet crepes. Their Belgian chocolate is a timeless favourite, but the addition of homemade caramel and crushed peanuts satisfies your sweet tooth and is the perfect finish to a Suzette meal.
Suzette Creperie and Cafe has another branch located in Bandra, if Nariman Point is too far away. But if Mumbai's rain is too heavy or you're too tired to step out, the eatery's crepes seem quite travel-friendly and are a delicious take-away meal.
