Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge and legendary Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan have stepped into a new chapter of their lives parenthood. After eight years of marriage, the couple joyfully announced the arrival of their first child, a baby boy, through an emotional Instagram post.
The new parents have chosen a powerful and meaningful name for their little one Fatehsinh Khan. In her heartfelt post, Sagarika wrote, "With love, gratitude and divine blessings, we welcome our precious little baby boy, Fatehsinh Khan."
The name itself carries strong roots across various languages and cultures. “Fateh” is derived from Hindi, Urdu, and Arabic, meaning 'victory' or 'conqueror.' The suffix 'Sinh' or 'Singh' commonly associated with Sikh tradition- means 'lion.' Together, Fatehsinh can be interpreted as 'victorious lion' or 'brave conqueror,' a name that symbolises strength, courage, and honor.
From Reel to Real
Sagarika, best known for her role in Chak De! India, and Zaheer, a cricketing icon, first crossed paths at a friend’s gathering. While sparks flew early on, Sagarika once mentioned in an interview that Zaheer was initially reserved possibly due to the public eye and societal expectations surrounding her career in Bollywood.
Thanks to a little nudge from mutual friends, including actor Angad Bedi, the two eventually grew close. Their love blossomed quietly until they got engaged during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season in 2017. The couple tied the knot in an intimate court ceremony on November 23, 2017, followed by grand celebrations with loved ones.
