On the fifth floor of a bustling apartment building in Hyderabad, an extraordinary family shares their home not just with humans, but with two adorable cows. These aren’t your average bovines. They belong to the rare “Nadipathy” breed, specially developed by Dr. P. Krishnam Raju, known for their miniature size, affectionate demeanor, and surprisingly high yield of milk despite their petite frame.

One of their prized companions is a delightful young calf, barely two feet tall, who produces nearly two liters of milk each day. Her calm nature and close bond with the family have made her an integral part of their daily life. But she’s not alone-her apartment companion, another Nadipathy cow, also lives comfortably in this unusual but loving home.

Together, they are the stars of Nadipathy Goshala, the family’s cattle farm dedicated to nurturing and protecting this unique breed. Situated on the outskirts of the city, the Goshala houses several of these special cows, blending tradition, sustainability, and compassion. The initiative aims to preserve the cultural and spiritual importance of indigenous cattle while adapting to modern urban lifestyles.

Among the Goshala's many residents, two have captured the hearts of not just their young caretaker Likeeta, but of the internet at large. Meet Eesha and Eeshwarudu-the family's favorites and social media darlings. With over 1 million followers on Instagram, their daily antics, peaceful apartment life, and heartwarming interactions with the family have made them viral sensations. From lounging by the balcony to gently playing indoors, these tiny cows redefine what it means to be a house pet.

What started as a humble effort to protect a rare breed has grown into a movement that’s inspiring others to see cows not just as livestock, but as loving companions. Nadipathy Goshala is where love, legacy, and innovation meet, proving that true blessings sometimes come in the smallest, mooing packages.
