"The fusion of traditional ethnic wear with contemporary styles gained popularity. This included a saree with tailored blazers, a kurta with joggers, and lehenga skirts paired with crop tops. This trend seamlessly captured the balance between cultural roots and modern fashion sensibilities. The versatile nature allowed the wearers to showcase their ethnic side while maintaining a contemporary edge."
"One thing that missed the hit in the fusion trend was inclusivity and visual harmony. It also lacked authenticity and missed the deep traditional aesthetic., overlooking diverse ethnic cultures and styles. Fusion fashion has potential, but it also comes with certain shortcomings. If fusion styles are done thoughtfully, one can celebrate cultural diversity without diluting the beauty and significance of both traditional and modern styles."
Dhruv Sehgal, Designer and Founder of Dhruv Sehgal Clothing:
One of the most popular trends of 2024 was quiet luxury—simple, high-quality pieces without flashy logos. It focuses on timeless style and subtle elegance, making it a favourite for people who value classic, wearable fashion.
On the other hand, the oversized cargo pockets trend didn’t do so well. While it aimed to mix style with practicality, the exaggerated size of the pockets felt awkward and hard to pull off in everyday outfits, so it didn’t gain much popularity.

"One of my favourite trends this year was the resurgence of timeless, minimalist bridal looks. Sleek silhouettes paired with delicate embellishments exuded effortless elegance and allowed the bride’s personality to shine through."
"Over-accessorised looks fell short in 2024. Additionally, pairing heavy jewellery with elaborately embroidered outfits often felt overwhelming and detracted from the overall grace and sophistication of the ensemble."
