For influencer Ruchika Lohiya, who is known for her lovely visual poems on Instagram, freedom "is not just a word".
"It is a feeling that lives deep inside my heart — the ability to breathe, speak, think and live without fear," she says. "It is waking up every morning knowing I have the right to make my own choices, follow my dreams, and express who I truly am.
"Freedom means having the courage to say 'yes' when my heart calls me towards an opportunity, and the strength to say 'no' when something does not align with my values. It is the power to stand for what is right, even if I am standing alone. It is the power to live, speak, and dream without fear."

Ruchika adds, "It is the courage to be my true self, to choose my own path, and to stand for what I believe in — even if I stand alone."
As an influencer, freedom to her is also posting whatever she wants without the fear of being called out, judged, or having a case written against her for being too authentic.
"It is the right to express my heart openly, without my truth being twisted into a crime. True freedom is not just about my voice, but about creating a world where everyone’s voice matters."

Poet Priya Malik loves India the way it is. But if there is anything she could change, it would be "the civic sense of the people in our country".
"But I do believe that with time and education, it is getting better and to me- that evolution is beautiful," she says.
"Freedom to me is the art of saying “no” without apology, and “yes” without permission."
