Ujjain: ‘Ojaswini,’ an organisation by formed by the Antarastriya Hindu Parishad will work for the empowerment and safety of women all over India. This was decided at a meeting organised in the presence of Parishad’s president Praveen Togadiya, in which he formed ‘Ojaswini’ and the national women council under the leadership of Priyanka Singh Parmar.
Addressing the meeting Togadiya informed that organisation would provide training in self to female students of the school and colleges and organise special camps for self-defence. During the training, knowledge about handling difficult and unprecedented situations, dos’ and donts’ at lonely places, precautionary measures and self-defence techniques and equipment used to counter any attack will be taught to the girls, he added.
Manju Chouhan has been appointed as divisional women wing secretary, while Santosh Shere was elevated to the post of district president. Priya Sharma has been given charge of district secretary. Togadiya said the association would initiate programmes for women empowerment and make them self-reliant. Arrangements will be made so that women members can earn five to ten thousand rupees on monthly basis from home.
Arrangements will be also made to directly buy materials like women clothing directly from the manufacturer and provided to members so that they can sell clothing and other materials directly to customers from home, Rs 100 to 200 cheaper than market rate. Other products will be made available soon to members in order to make them independent and self-reliant, he added. Priyanka Singh Parmar proposed the vote of thanks.
